Two Year (2020 and 2021) Website Support Drive
Closes March 1, 2020.

About the Website

Founded in 2006 as a small spaceweather hobby website, SolarHam evolved into a full time mission and is monitored by thousands of space weather enthusiasts from around the world. SolarHam is routinely updated with breaking space weather news, many times hours before other space news websites or blogs. With nearly 14 years of service on the internet, you can trust for up to date and accurate space weather information.

Why is there a fundraiser?

Even during the current solar minimum, countless hours of my time, each and every day of the year is dedicated towards maintaining the website and ensuring all data is accurate for my audience. In addition to the costs associated with providing this service (hosting fees, bandwidth, disk space), I work hard at operating the site daily in order to make an honest living.

The website only remains online thanks to the generous support of people like you. This years goal will fund SolarHam for the next 2 years (2020 and 2021) which is predicted to be the lead in to the next Solar Cycle 25.

Plan for new website design

In the background I have been working on a new, easier to follow and straight to the point website layout that will make finding the data you are looking for even easier. This will also include data that is automatically refreshed, instead of manually updated by myself to make sure it is most up to date. Keeping with my personal preference, many other sections will remain manually updated twice daily to ensure that the most accurate analysis is provided.
