Visible Solar Disk (SDO/HMI)

Good morning. Solar activity continues at very low levels on Sunday with only low level B-Flares observed during the past 24 hours. Region 2776 continues to quietly transit the southern hemisphere and is stable. A new region looks to be forming in the southwest quadrant, but will soon rotate onto the west limb and will be out of direct Earth view. Old region 2773 from the previous rotation is approaching the northeast limb and is likely not a threat for noteworthy solar flares. Image courtesy of SDO/HMI.
